An opportunity has arisen for an IT Developer on a permanent contract with a leading company who design, manufacture and supply electrical lighting products to both the B2C & B2B market.
Reporting to the IT Manager you will be focusing on supporting and improving critical business systems and processes across the company, as well as assisting in implementing new solutions.Key responsibilities will include;
Adapt existing programs and integrations, and troubleshoot application support issues.Assist the business in solving and developing new solutions to emerging requirements.Champion the use of Microsoft 365 technologies across the business (SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate).Support multiple projects hands-on through their entire lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of cost-effective and value-added IT solutions to the business and its customers. Must be flexible and willing to carry out all project-related activities as required.Provide support for FileMaker applications.Provide training and support to end-users on systems when required.Document technical processes and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.Collaborate with external vendors to manage and resolve third-party application issues.Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
The successful applicant will possess:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Relevant certifications in MS SQL Server, Microsoft 365, and other related technologies are a plus.Proficiency in MS SQL, including T-SQL and general maintenance (SQL Agent).Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is desired.Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).Familiarity with Business Central, Power BI, PowerShell, C# (or similar), and FileMaker is a plus.Quick learner with the ability to absorb new systems and technologies rapidly.Experience in creating and supporting integration workflows between internal and external systems (e.g., carriers, customers, websites).Excellent communication skills to provide training and support to end-users.Strong documentation skills to maintain technical processes and procedures.Effective collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external vendors.
